  • I can not run bcompare on linux with root auth, but ok with normal account

    hello!
I meet an issue that when I run bcompare on linux.

Issue is that when I open terminal under normal user account, I can run bcompare and the UI will pop up, like the cmd below:
    'ubuntu10@Linux-ubuntu10:/usr/bin$ bcompare'

But when I change another account like root or Jenkins as below:
    root@Linux-ubuntu10:/usr/bin# bcompare

the UI will not pop up.

I tried to re-install the bcompare.deb under root account to fix the authority issue, but it did not work.

besides I'm using VNC to run all the thing, but I think this will not be a root cause.

would please give me a hand?
    Appreciate!

It might help to set the environment variable "QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM=native" as described in the article on our website.

If that doesn't fix the problem, do other graphical applications also have trouble running as other user accounts in your environment, or only Beyond Compare 4?
