  • Command line options for BC4 Pro on Mac

    Hi,

    I'm currently trying to use BC4 from a terminal on a Mac.

    Even though the documentation indicates that there is a 'qc' option to specify the type of comparison, it does not seem to work.

    I tried:
    bcompare /qc=crc <left> <right>
    bcompare -qc=crc <left> <right>
    compare -qc crc <left> <right>

    Therefore, my question id the following:

    Is there a mean to launch BC4 Pro from a terminal with the following options?
    • binary compare the content of files
    • display no orphan

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,

    You'll need to use bcomp for the command line or bash scripting. The syntax you are looking for is:
    bcomp -qc=crc left right
    which you can then check with
    errorlevel = $?
    echo $errorlevel
