Howto remove License

Hi, how can I remove the license-key of my installation? I only have seen howto add a new one, but cannot remove this.

If licensed for a single user account, the license key is saved as:
%appdata%\scooter software\beyond compare 4\BC4Key.txt

If licensed for all user accounts, the license key is saved in the program folder, the default location is:
c:\program files\beyond compare 4\BC4Key.txt

Deleting the BC4Key.txt file will remove the license. After the file is deleted, Beyond Compare will run in trial mode until the trial period expires.

Question - what if I can't find a BC4Key.txt on MacOS and I want to remove a license from a computer to put on another computer?

Hello,

Launch the program and check the Beyond Compare menu -> About dialog, which will reveal if it is a registered install or trial install.

If trial, then that user does not have a key file. If registered, then BC4Key.txt must exist on the system, likely in their hidden Library folder. MacOS key locations are in this KB article:
