Directory scan for duplicates help (not compare against other directories)

Hi,

I am looking to run a scan of our shared directories to look for duplicate office documents and PDFs, JPEGs and MP3 and MP4s but want to search ALL directories under a tree structure and not a single folder against another.

I am also looking to identify if the file name may have been changed and NOT the contents as well as duplicates with slight modifications.

Can I search a whole directory tree structure to achieve the above?

The video guide only displayed comparing a folders content against another.

Hello,

No, BC4 does not have a duplicate scanner built-in. Our viewers focus on side-by-side alignment by filename and folder structure, and then compare the aligned pairs with a variety of criteria. Duplicate scanning is something on our wishlist, but isn't a project we'll be able to tackle short-term.
