  • tsclient path gives Folder Not Available message

I can "explorer PATH", but I cannot use exact same tsclient path in Beyond Compare for folder comparison. It gives me folder not available message.

    bc 4.3.0

What information do you require to diagnose? The local computer and remote computer are on different domains. Does this affect Beyond Compare?

    Hello,

If you launch Windows Explorer, then paste the path into the location bar of Explorer, what is loaded? What is the syntax you are using?

        Hello,

If you install BC4 locally on the remote machine, can it access this OneDrive folder as a local location? We've had a few reports of users having trouble loading "C;\users\username\onedrive - another name" locations. The network might be a red herring.

No. I don't think it can access OneDrive. That would normally show up in this listing under "Documents", wouldn't it?

            Hello,

Normally, OneDrive is under C:\Users\username\OneDrive\, but we encountered an issue with specific For Business configurations. We have a fix incoming in BC 4.3.2, which we are currently testing in QA. This should get it working in your original scenario.

Thx, Aaron. It works now with complete paths. However, it does not see remote sub-directories as sub-directories.

The arrow icon next to the filename suggests the files and folders might be symbolic links. Does it help if you click the Rules toolbar button (referee icon), go to the Handling tab, then check Follow symbolic links?
