  • Sync files from newest folder

Hi, so in work I want to update a folder named "published" with files created in another folder called "versions."

In the versions folder there are multiple folders called "version 01" etc. What I want to try is get beyond compare to automatically direct itself to the newest versions folder and copy it's contents to the published folder.

Is there a way to do this? I have to do this for multiple root folders (each containing version and published folders) so if I could setup beyond compare to do this for each one it would be a massive time saver.

    Thanks

Sorry, Beyond Compare cannot automatically load the newest folder. You'll need to manually load the newest folder as a base folder.

This is just a workaround, and You have to check if it suits Your needs.
But, You can try to sort the "versions" folder by date, so that You see at top the most recent one.
Also, You can choose "Ignore Folder Structure" AND sort by date.
This might work if You have in each "versions" sub-folder the same files, and if the newest folder has the newest files.
      Just an idea.
