Displaying only differences in 2 text files

I’m trying to compare 2 text files and display the differing text only.
In verson 3 I could choose differences and uncheck “Show Context” and it would only display the unique text.
In version 4, the “Show Context” button doesn’t seem to change the display.
Is there another way to regain the version 3 behavior?

    Hello,

Is BC4 also set to Show Differences? BC3 and BC4's Show Context functionality should match. However, Show Context toggle only works with the Show Differences mode, and wouldn't change the display if Show All or Show Same were selected.

If you are still having trouble, please post a pair of full screen screenshots with Show Context enabled and disabled. You can post here or email at [email protected] with a link back to this forum thread. If emailing, you can also include your BCSupport.zip from the Help menu -> Support; Export.

        Hello,

The Blue sections are Unimportant Differences, which still count as Differences, so they are shown in the Show Differences display mode. You can enable the View menu -> Show Whitespace to see the blue unimportant different characters.

Enable Ignore Unimportant Differences in the toolbar to hide blue text as black, which treats it as if it were equal, and would apply the Show Context settings.
