Comparing solely by column name and not by column index

    Hi,

I am comparing 2 folders that contain many CSV files, the files in each folder has the same names so I can drill down to compare a pair of CSVs with the same name. The CSVs has header and rows of data.

The second folder CSVs may contain more columns than the first folder.
When I compare these 2 CSVs with additional columns the table compare matches the columns by index and not by name, so each time I open the table compare I need to move the additional columns downward so the comparison will ignore them.

Is there a way to tell BC4 to compare by column name and not by column index? Some kind of general setting, not for a specific session.

    Thanks,
    Ami

    Hello,

Sorting/Aligning columns by name is something on our wishlist, but is not supported in BC4. The alignment is by index, and can be reorganized as you've found, but it isn't able to auto-detect based on the Name.
