Error: cannot spawn ??: No such file or directory...... fatal: external diff died

    I tested git difftool with kdiff3 configured as the diff tool, it also failed with "error: cannot spawn /?: Invalid argument" on the 9th diff so this appears to be a Git bug.

      Ugh...Thank you Chris for investigating. I will send an email containing a link to this forum post to the git mailing address to report if that is OK

        On further testing, this is a bug that was introduced in Git for Windows version 2.19.2. Version 2.19.1 and earlier work correctly when git difftool launches 9 or more comparisons.

        Until the issue is resolved, uninstall Git for Windows, then install version 2.19.1.
