  • rules for ignoring any lines that start with '%'

    I have tried to implement a new grammar rule to ignore any differences in lines that start with %.

    Rules-> Grammar-> Basic

    Text matching: ^%

    Regular expression

    Hello,

    That would mark the "%" at the start, but not the following data. If you use Type: Delimited, and define the start as
    ^%
    to
    blank

    And enable "End of Line" and "Regular Expression"

        Hello,

        Did you use the Session menu -> Session Settings, Importance tab, and uncheck "Comment %" element name?

        If you click into the text between % and a, which grammar element name is detected and shown in the bottom status bar?

        The text needs to detect as the correct file format (your 2nd screenshot is using "Everything Else" file format), then the element needs to correctly match on the line, and be (un)marked as Unimportant.

        If you are still having trouble, could you email in your BCSupport.zip (Help menu -> Support; Export) and a pair of specific sample files to support@scootersoftware.com
