Synchronize Notebook with Smartphone: file dates are not updated on the Smartphone?

After synchronizing the Notebook with the Smartphone the file dates obviously are not updated on the Smartphone. How could I synchronize the dates, e.g. the modified date, etc.?

    Hello,

The Last Modified date is attempted to be preserved during a copy, but the destination device might not allow it to be set and will make it the time of the transfer. If you perform the same copy using Windows Explorer, does it show the same behavior?

BC4 also has a Touch command, which can manually set/copy the Last Modified timestamp. After the copy, can Touch re-set the Last Modified timestamp?

We also have a Folder Compare's Session menu -> Session Setting -> Handling tab, Copy creation dates option.

      Hello Aaron!

What is the fastes access to change the comparison method (by contend, dates, etc.):

I have selected files on the left side to copy their timestamps to the right side, but the arrow shows to the left side. What does this mean (I do not understand it), the stamps are copied from the right to the left side? Is there a clear information like "Will be copied from left to right side" or such)?

So it is different from the copying / moving informations (do they have a clear information like "copy / move form left to right" instead of "the other side" or such?

If you perform the same copy using Windows Explorer, does it show the same behavior?
      Yes, it does.

BC4 also has a Touch command, which can manually set/copy the Last Modified timestamp. After the copy, can Touch re-set the Last Modified timestamp?
      No, it cannot.

We also have a Folder Compare's Session menu -> Session Setting -> Handling tab, Copy creation dates option.
Yes, when enabled the same, the dates are not copied.

      Many thanks

        Hello,

Touch acts on the selection, so you select the files you want to change/edit manually, or setting as the value on the other side).

If Explorer's copy and the Touch command also fail, there's likely a limitation on the destination device. Sometimes, there's a setting (FTP configuration) that can be changed to allow it, or a firmware update, but sometimes it's just a limitation of the device you are copying to. Smartphones/MTP often fall into this category.

          Hello Aaron,

          Thank you!

Alright, very irritating for me those messages anyway. Why isn't there a simple information like copy / move from left to right side or change attributes / dates, etc. on the left side / right side?

          Alright, many thanks.

It works on the selection. If you select only the left side, then it can only act on that side. If you select both sides, then the dialog itself has you choose which side you want to set.
