Feature Request - Easier Access to Text Format Button

Having spent several months attempting to get used to the format dropdown button, I've failed. I'm able to do it, but there's always a 1-5 second pause for my brain to adjust; it has never become automatic. This is in stark contrast to the rest of my use of Beyond Compare, which generally doesn't require much thought. Quite frankly, I still really wish my original feature request would be implemented.

However, as an alternative, I would appreciate it if there was a way configure the "Format" button open the dropdown directly. If I want to edit the format on such a button, I can already select "Edit..." from the dropdown. This change would switching format on a comparison a slightly easier...which is probably more common than changing the format options.
