Detecting file content differences

Will Beyond compare able to detect file content differences from file of the same name without having to open the file content first?

Hello,

Yes, from the Folder Compare, file pairs are aligned by file name and then compared. By default, the criteria is timestamp/size, but you can add a content scan. This is done from the Session menu -> Session Settings, Comparison tab: leave Timestamp, Size, Override enabled, and also enable "Content scan: Rules-based, CRC, or Binary"
