how to copy the exe file and make sure the create time is same

Trying bC 4 now and notice one issue, when I copy the exe file over to the right, it shows the red color as the right side exe file always use the latest system time as file create time, why ? any way to avoid it?
    please advise.

    I am using win10 x64 home。

    Hello,

The timestamp we show and compare (causes red coloring) is the Last Modified timestamp, not the Creation date. Last Modified time is attempted to be preserved during the copy, but some destination devices do not support this. At that point, the destination sets it to the time of the transfer. What type of destination are you using?

We also have a manual command to edit the Last Modified timestamp: select the file, then right-click -> Touch. Does Touch allow an override of the timestamp for this destination? If you Full Refresh, does it preserve?

Do you need to also preserve the Creation Date? We have an option to attempt to preserve it in the Folder Compare, Session Settings, Handling tab.

I want to copy the file from USB enternal harddisk to internal ssd, but modified date is different, and show the red color.
Any way to make sure they are same?

Problem solved, thanks. BTW, is this a new stuff in BC 4? Only exe files have problem, other file types are ok, because of win 10? It is better to tick as default.

The Session Setting, Handling tab, Preserve creation date during copy option is a new BC4 feature. Most of the rest of the description holds true for older versions of BC4 and BC3.

If it is "only .exe" files, do you see similar behavior if you perform the copy with Windows Explorer instead of BC4?
