  • XML Sort - Edit XSLT To Preserve Structure

    Hi,
I'm evaluating BC4 for use in comparing Salesforce permission sets. I would like to be able to control the sort (certain elements still have to be in the correct order, but they should be sub sorted by values) and not add any extra whitespace in.
I see references in BC3 where you could find the XSLT file and edit it yourself. Is this still possible in BC4?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Yes, with the BC3 format download. BC4's Sorting and Tidy functions are internal and not editable, but BC4 can import BC3 formats. Download the BC3 version here:
    http://www.scootersoftware.com/downl..._moreformatsv3
And grab XML Sorted and Tidied or XML Sorted

Then use the Tools menu -> Import to bring in these formats, and you can alter those xslt in your %AppData%\Scooter Software\Beyond Compare 4\Helpers\HtmlTidy
