  • Running a second comparison using files found on previous one

I want to run a second file comparision (comparing contents) on the files identified as "different" on a previous comparison which only compared file size & timestamp.

How can I do this (I assume I've just missed something that's obvious) ?

    BC4 (Windows).

    Hello,

This can be done in a single step. In the Folder Compare's Session Settings, Comparison tab. Leave the defaults enabled (Timestamp, Size, Override Quick Test Results). Then also enable Compare Contents: Binary/CRC/Rules. And the key is to also enable "Skip if quick tests indicate files are the same"

This combination would only run the content scan if the quick tests are different.

If you mean from a folder comparison, right click on the file and select "Compare contents".
