  • Bug (Win x64 version 4.1.8 build 21575) multiple-tabs block Windows restart

When you have multiple tabs open in Beyond Compare it will block a Windows restart with this dialog:

In this case Windows will hang indefinitely with the below screen or even force-kill Beyond Compare.

Even worse: when you *Cancel* the reboot, then press the "Close All Tabs" button, then manually reboot, it will show the same dialog *Again*.

Instead it should save the desktop, let Windows restart, then restore the previous tabs as this might have been a Windows-Update initiated restart.

The desired behaviour is would basically be the same behaviour when you'd install a fresh Beyond Compare version from within Beyond Compare itself: there it will close Beyond Compare, install the new version, then restart Beyond Compare with the same tabs open.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll look into if this is something we can more gracefully handle. In the meantime, you do need to cancel and then confirm the dialog in BC4 (which could be multiple tabs or asking to save a session that has changed).
