    Issue: icons in the directory compare should all be equally wide

    I've only a Windows screen-shot here, but the same applies to macOS (OS X) and Linux: the icons in a directory compare should be equally wide.

    Now it's very hard to visually determine if these files belong together or not:

    Thanks for the feedback, that's something we can consider.

    In the meantime, if you go to the Session menu -> Session Settings, Handling tab, and Treat archives as Files only. This will change all archives the same square file icon.

      Another strategy I'd recommend, if you can set the same folder as the base folder on both sides, then use the Session Settings, Misc tab, Alignment Override, and align *.7z to *.fbk
      This would align these pairs, and any Left Orphans would not have a matching *.fbk
