Thanks for the report. How is your progress bar filling up so slowly during errors? In my own tests, the bar fills so fast it is difficult to pause mid-error. Were you able to create an archive that reproduces the transfer error you are hitting?

      Perhaps ask the BC devs

      MTP, note.

        I did ask the devs

Since I'm hitting a standard "device full error", and not the one you have managed to hit, once it begins to error it zooms through the rest of the files. The timing is almost impossible to catch. If you are able to create that archive to help us reproduce the issue, let us know and we can try to tackle this, too.

Well if they don't know, I sure don't.

I don't see what's non-standard about the error message I reported. Hopefully the Devs can tell you what produces it.

It's not an error message we are producing, but are getting back from the device via Windows. We'd need a reproducible case to help track this one down further.

I am surprised to hear that. Surely it is responsibility for actioning Pause is BC's, not Windows'.

The type of error you are hitting and the Pause command are two separate things. The Pause issue isn't reproducible when running into normal errors, as they either progress very fast, or (if I throw my whole hdd at it), it will still pause correctly as expected.

We'll follow up in the other thread about the specific error you are hitting.

Well fine, but I am reporting a case in which the issue does occur.

Please pass on my suggestion that this be fixed

Certainly, but we need to be able to reproduce the base issue before we can figure out why pause isn't working during it.

That surprises me. Because ISTM the failing Pause logic should be independent of the particular error.

Anyway, I'll be sure to send you a reproducible case if/when I capture one.

                      Thanks.
