  • Open Containing Folder in OS (Explorer/Finder)

In BC3 I think there was a reliable action that would always open the folder that contains a file in Windows Explorer. This is missing from BC4 or at least I can't find it. I also can't find it in BC4 on Mac.

I can still perform this action if the item selected in BC4 is a folder. I can "open it with Associated Application." However if the file is a data file associated with an application (such as a .JPG or .HTML) that command will actually open the application.

This is particularly important in BC4 when used with the "flattened" display.

    Thanks for your attention.

    Hello,

Locate in Explorer/Finder is not built in functionality in Beyond Compare, but we do host it as an example Open With in this KB article:
    http://www.scootersoftware.com/suppo...kb_openwithapp

This has the BC3 example for Windows Explorer, which you may have setup previously. We do not have a documented OSX example yet, but if you are familiar with a good command line to use we could setup an Open With with it.
