  • Decimal symbol override

In BC3s data compare there was the possibility to override the decimal symbol used by the system.
The choices where 'Use system', 'Comma' and 'Period'.

This setting get lost in BC4?

This was very important if you had to compare CSV-files generated on a different system.

    Regards!

    Hello,

Yes, we decided to remove the setting for BC 4 - the decimal symbol is now determined by your system settings.

That's a pity. Usually you don't want to change your system settings if you got a file from an external source.

Oh well, so we'll just have to keep a BC3 installation

After discussing the change, we agree that the decision to exclude this option was not
the best decision and so we are planning to include the option to specify the decimal symbol again.

It's now been quite some time and the decimal issue has still not been implemented. Can you please give us some kind of roadmap with regards to this issue?

Sorry for the lack of an update. We haven't been able to tackle this one yet, but we'll bump the priority on it and look into implementing it soon. BC 4.1.3 is currently cut off for QA, but we'll try to schedule it for a following release.
