How can I use BC3 with GitHub Desktop for Windows.

I found this: Using Beyond Compare with Version Control Systems

But only a section for "GitHub for Windows" and not for "GitHub Desktop for Windows".

I can also upgrade to BC4, if there is a solution for BC4.

    Thanks in advance, Dirk

    I found this here:
So, BC cannot be called from GitHub Desktop for Windows.
Please help to push this issue.

    Thanks Dirk

Beyond Compare's ability to be called as a difftool requires the parent VCS or dev environment to support external tool definitions. That issue tracker looks like GitHub Desktop does not support this style of definition at all (for any tool) and it would need to be enhanced. There's not much we can do to make the project include that support, but once it is available, BC4's general command line definition should be able to slot into it, assuming it works similarly to various other tools (some of which documented in the VCS KB article). Most operate in a similar fashion.

Yes, this is what I wanted to say. It is an issue with GitHub Desktop and not an issue with BC - best compare toll in the world :-)
