  • Cannot checkout files that are open for integrate in Perforce

In Perforce, files are open for "integrate" (not "edit") when they have been integrated from another branch and resolved, but not yet committed.

From the Perforce client (P4Win) it is possible to right-click on these files and choose "Re-open for Edit" which makes the file writable, so that further changes in addition to the integration changes may be made.

Likewise, in Visual Studio, if you begin editing a file that is open for "integrate", visual studio (via SCC) automatically opens it for edit.

However in Beyond Compare, it thinks these files are already open for "edit" therefore, the option to "checkout" is disabled. There appears to be no "re-open for edit" option from within Beyond Compare. Then if you change the file from within BC and attempt to save, you get a prompt that the "file is read-only, do you wish to overwrite, etc". It really needs to detect that the file is open for "integrate" and prompt to open for edit (or do so silently).
