Hello,

For your Intel Hex Records, would they match this format?
Each line consists of five fields: the record mark (1 character), length (2 chars), offset (4 chars), type (2 chars) and data (rest of line)

If this is the case, you can use the Data Compare session type, with a new Data format for this file extension. In the Tools menu -> File Format dialog, create a New Data format, and in the Type tab, set the type to Fixed and enter the column widths. You'll need to enter a number for the last column, which could be 100 or 1000. How big do you think it would need to be?

It looks like the Motorola format would follow a similar workflow, with a new Format using the widths needed for it. Do you files match the format as defined here?:

Does your fourth column (Address) change in size depending on the Record per row?

Update: If the column is changing size, you will want to normalize all rows to have the same, largest size column using an External Conversion in the Data Compare.
