When comparing Excel files, only the first sheet is loaded in Beyond Compare. I did not realize that there were other sheets, which may have had differences when I was comparing. If multiple sheets are not supported for comparison, I would recommend displaying some kind of warning to alert the user that a spreadsheet contains more than one sheet.

Thanks for the suggestion. Our Data Compare does only currently support 1 sheet, and we do not currently support a scan for multiple sheets as an error condition.
If you are dealing with multisheet Excel files, I recommend this KB article, which goes into detail on how you can use our Text Compare as the default Rules-based comparison, or combine the two into a single, large sheet:
