Can BC3 run as a service to monitor and sync folders?

If not do you have recommendations as to how this is best achieve on Linux using BC3?

Hello,

BC3 can run in a scripting mode, which you can call at regular intervals from the command line. The script itself can run a series of commands, such as generate a report or perform a sync.

Scripting is documented in the Help file -> Using Beyond Compare -> Automating with Script chapter.

I recommend testing with already backed up folders while testing a script, as script actions do not preview before execution, and are not undo-able.
