RTF Editing

Hello! Why can't I edit RTF files the same way I edit other text files (.txt, ini, etc)? Beyond Compare acts like the RTF files are protected.

Beyond Compare converts the RTF to plain text before comparing them, so it loses any formatting that you might have. We write-protect any file that has a destructive conversion like that, including .doc and .pdf.

RTF files are are not plain text. Beyond Compare can compare the text of the files, but not the formatting (font type, font size, etc). To prevent the loss formatting and other data, Beyond Compare doesn't allow editing of RTF files.
