Bcompare.exe getting removed

Hi,

Lately I find that c:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 3\Bcompare.exe file goes missing every other day (which in effect makes my Desktop shortcut Invalid). FYI, I have SUPERANTISPYWARE & OfficeScan Client installed. I included Bcompare.exe in List of Allowed Items for SUPERANTISPYWARE. Not sure what might cause this & the only choice I'm left with is to install the BC3 again to get this file. Any suggestion is appreciated.

in this situation I recommend using the great tool Process Monitor from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896645.aspx

Set the filter to "c:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 3\Bcompare.exe" and look, which process is accessing/deleting the file.

Thanks Chrroe, I installed it, however I see a huge output, not sure which line I should concentrate. Also I'm not sure what time the file gets removed. How do I know that when it was removed?

Set the filters to the settings like in the screenshot below
(only the 2 with green bullets need to be added).
