    "Syntax highlighting" & difference visibility

    Hi,

Choosing the "Show syntax highlighting on difference lines" option doesn't show the difference at character level at all (which is otherwise visible in red). It it possible to highlight the different character/word with red & let the rest of the line be highlighted based on syntax?

    thanks,

    Hello NeOnD,

If you enable that Tweak, then the syntax coloring will be used for the foreground color, but the background color of the line will still show red.

That's fine but is it possible to have foreground highlighting color red for the difference section as otherwise it's a cumbersome task to find out what character/word differs.

Wouldn't disabling the Tweak be the behavior you are looking for? If you are having trouble identifying the type of Grammar element a particular text section is, click into it with the cursor and we display it as text in the bottom of the pane in a status bar.
