    THis forum: finding multiple words

Is there any way I can get the search forum to find post containing a two given words? Search titles for Two Words finds post with Two /or/ Words.

Also, how to search for an exact match on a phrase?

    Hello chrisjj,

We use vBulletin, so any reference material you can find on their official site should help here. There is also the built-in vBulletin searchable FAQ in the top toolbar.

Go to the Search in the Toolbar and click advanced search for more options.
Simply type in two words to find posts containing them. Place Quotes around them for an exact phrase match.
Titles can be selected as a search option in the Advanced Search dialog.

I am not certain of the Or syntax, but you could just search twice: once with one word then the other.

When the vBulletin built-in search is not finding what you are looking for, you can also search the forum using google (simply search in google for beyond compare and your phrase and you may find posts that way as well).

As I said, than doesn't find all posts with both words.

      > Place Quotes around them for an exact phrase match.

      Nor does that.

      > you can also search the forum using google

Nor that - due to the Google >=8week delay.

I guess then that this simple requirement is not met by this forum software - OK. Thanks.
