as far as i know, ogg stores tags in a more efficient way than mp3. It should be faster to read and compare. Would BC3 support oggs? Most of my collection is ogg.
Sorry, the BC3 MP3 compare doesn't support comparison of ogg files. Support for ogg files is on our wish list for a future version.
I don't know if it is appropriate to say "me too", but I would find this a very useful feature. I've used version 2 at work for quite a while and think that it's a great tool, so when I saw that a Linux version was available, I downloaded the trial version at home, to manage my mostly ogg music collection.
I'm probably going to register as I think that BC is probably the best compare/synchronise tool for my purposes, but being able to handle oggs would definately swing it.
