    123.45 appears 12345

    Hi,

    I'm comparing two .txt files

In the .txt file I have :

    "CORPORATES",0,123.45,0

When loading in beyond compare I see :

    CORPORATES 0 12345 0

I lose the decimal separator (12345 instead of 123.45)

    Any idea why?

Thanks a lot for your help

    Hello,

Are you opening the Text file in our Data Compare and your current Windows Regional Settings set to treat . as the thousands delimiter?

If you launch BC3, then open a new blank Text Compare, then open your files within the Text Compare, does it work as you expect? This should be the default behavior, but there might have been a configuration change to cause the behavior you are seeing.

A full screen screenshot might help. If you would like, you can post here or email us privately at [email protected]. Please include a link back to this forum thread for our reference.
