  • accidently deleted folders - is there an "undo" function

i accidently deleted a whole folder structure.

is there something as an undo button?

any other way to get the whole structure back?

    thanks for the help!

    Hello,

No, BC3 does not support Undo on the Folder level. We do try to send things to the Recycle Bin if that option is enabled (default is enabled). Did you content end up in there?

If your files aren't in the recycle bin, I've had good luck using Recuva to recover deleted files in the past.

@Beyond Compare, you should definitely not allow the user to delete files from your app. This is a recipe for disaster and not foolproof at all.

          Hello,

Beyond Compare 4 is a folder synchronization and file comparison application. It has many of the tools available in Explorer and Finder, including Copy, Move, and Delete. You can modify a shortcut to launch with /ro or -ro command line parameter to launch in read-only mode. Or in the Session Setting's of a specific view, enable "Disable Editing" for either side.
