  • Copy file when CRC error

It would be useful to have an option to copy files when the source file has a CRC error, just ignoring the bad block (set to zeros or something). I don't see this as a presently existing option.

This could be used, for example, with a video DVD where there is damage to a small portion of the video file, and ideally the filler should allow the DVD to still play (perhaps just duplicate the previous block of the file)

For example: Acronis True Image has "ignore bad blocks" as an option when making backups.

    Hello,

Thanks for writing in. I do not think we'll be able to handle this type of workflow in the future. Beyond Compare 3 uses standard Windows copy methods and attempting to alter data during a copy is a bit outside our current scope.
