How should I capture these for a report?

By recovery of a backup of another system, using Acrinic True Image.

The file attributes are the only thing I can think of. How did the folder get created in the first place? Did you copy it in BC or in Explorer?

OK, will do. And since the drive images may not remain for long, what data should I capture?

Which is great, but I still don't know what caused it, so it's not likely to get fixed. If you see it again let us know.

That sounds like an issue primarily with BC rather than the file attributes.

No, I was suggesting that something about the folder's attributes was making BC think that it was a file. Obviously Windows would no better, but it would explain what you're seeing. I really can't imagine what the state would have to be to trigger that though.

Sadly the target is no longer available.

Are you suggesting something about the folder's attributes is causing BC to erroneously copy it to a file?

If you haven't already, try restarting BC and see if the problem still shows up. I can't see how it would get into that state if it hasn't already thought there was a file there. If it's still a problem after restarting it may be an issue with the folder's attributes.

Note in Explorer, note.
> Did you replace a file with a directory?
No - going by the fact Explorer showed no file of that name.
I'd try this without the "file", but BC Delete says "Access Denied".

10221 Failure to show copied folder
I copied the folder MMDAP from right to left and though Explorer shows it, BC left does not (even after fulll refresh or session reload): http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/2262/tempb.gif .
Any idea why?Tags: None
