  • How to copy file timestamps from Win over USB connection to Android smartphone?

Occasionally I copy files from my Win7 computer over USB connection (cable) onto an Android based SmartPhone
with BC (on folder compare view).
    It works.

However the last modified timestamp of the copied files on the Android Smartphone is set to the current date/time.

How can I tell BC to copy the last modified timestamp as well?

When I try to use the "Touch" context menu then BC tells me: "Container does not support requested file operation".

How does that work otherwise (if posiible not afterwards but already at the time of copy operation).

    Hello,

This depends on the destination device. The default behavior is to follow Explorer convention, which preserves the Last Modified timestamp. However, some destinations do not allow this, and it then sets itself to the current time of transfer. Touch can sometimes override this for some devices, but some still (like your Android MTP) will prevent it.
