  • Amazon S3 folder compare with more than 1000 folders

    Hello,

It is not possible to compare Amazon S3 folders with more than 1000 folders, they are not being loaded to the folder list.
Please fix or assist how this can be solved.

    Best regards,
    Dmitriy

    Hello,

How are you connecting to Amazon S3? If you are using BC3, you are using another program to bind the location as a local drive letter? If you open the location in Explorer, how long does it take to display? And since BC3 would load all subfolders (unlike Explorer, which only loads the top level), it may take quite a bit longer to load. Please let it sit for awhile if the Abort/Cancel button in the toolbar is still blinking.

If you are using BC4, is it the latest version (BC 4.1.3) and Pro edition using the Amazon S3 profile? If so, the above point about loading all subfolders still holds, and is the abort/cancel button still blinking? This means we are still loading, and Amazon S3 locations are often slower to access.

      Hello Aaron,

I'm using Version 4.1.3 (build 20814) "Evaluate Pro Edition feature". First around 1000 folders (I cannot count exact value)) are loaded almost immediately, during this time Stop button is blinking, after this Stop button is shown as inactive (grayed out). Waiting does nothing, other folders are not loaded.

      Best regards,
      Dmitriy

          Hello,

This should be fixed in BC 4.1.4. Please update on our website or the Help menu -> Check for updates. If there are any issues, please let us know the details.
