When I right click on a file or folder and then click on Delete, the program places a red "X" next to the file but it doesn't delete it. Seems to me it used to delete the file when I did that.
The red 'X' is an error indicator. There should also be a new line in your log in red text indicated what error was hit, and the error status bar should appear below the folder panes. What does this text say? A full screen screenshot might help.
Another thought: although this is the BC2 forum, would you be using BC3's Folder Sync session type? This session type does "mark" deletes with a red X, then clicking "Sync Now" executes all commands as listed in the preview pane. To delete directly, you would need to use the Folder Compare session type.
