I installed Beyond Compare version 3.3.8. When I right click my mouse on a file, there is no Beyond Compare option shown. What do I do?

Hello,
First, if you can, I'd recommend updating to the latest BC3.x (3.3.13) here:
https://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php?zz=dl3_en
All 3.x updates are free for 3.x users.
Reboot, then check if the Tools menu -> Options dialog, Startup tab, enable Include Beyond Compare in Explorer context menu. Then restart once more.
We also have a BC3ShellExFix.zip registry patch which you can apply, with steps (frequent reboots are required) here:

Let's add a few more restarts into the shellex deployment, as the system will lock the shell extension and only apply changes during a reboot:
https://www.scootersoftware.com/supp...?zz=kb_shellex
1) Use the Tools menu -> Export wizard to back up all settings.
2) Uninstall Beyond Compare.
3) Restart the computer
4) Download the registry patch zip file that matches your Beyond Compare version and unzip it.
5) Double click on Remove.reg to remove Beyond Compare's shell extension registry entries.
6) Reboot the computer.
7) Install Beyond Compare 3.3.13. During the setup.exe, make sure the option to Include the shell extension is enabled.
8) Test if the extension is working. Verify it is enabled in the Tools menu -> Options dialog, start up section.
9) Reboot the computer
10) If Beyond Compare is installed to a location other than the default folder (C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 4), edit the installation path in Add_64-bit.reg or Add_32-bit.reg. Where is BC3 installed on your machine and what is the path defined in the Add.reg you are using?
11) Double click on Add_64-bit.reg or Add_32-bit.reg to add Beyond Compare's shell extension registry entries. Use patch that matches the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) of your operating system.
12) Test if the extension is working
13) Reboot once more
14) Test if the extension is working.Aaron P Scooter Software
