    FTP bug?

    Hello guys,
trying to connect a FTP site with BC2 does not work, if the server reports error 530 (max number of clients reached). In this case BC2 believes the login is not correct. Unfortunately it deletes the login so u have to enter it again.

    Re: FTP bug?

Thanks for the bug report. The 530 error is just a generic "Can't log in", so it could mean an incorrect login too. We can switch the behavior to not clear the old value though.

I should have checked this more thoroughly before replying. Are you using 2.1 or 2.0? 2.0 does delete the old password in a couple of situations, but 2.1 appears to work much better in this area.

If you are using 2.1, could you descibe the steps needed to repeat this? Thanks.

        Re: FTP bug?

        That is quite easy.
Left side is an anonymous FTP and right side is a folder.
Save profile, close BC and reopen it.
Select the saved profile and if then the FTP doesn't accept any more clients, the login/password box appears with the login string empty.
Well ur right, 530 is same as incorrect login, but th text differs.
        Regards

Ahh, ok. This would only affect anonymous logins; we'll have it fixed in the next release.
