  • ftp output list truncated

    Hello,
I have a problem with a remote ftp site. When I try to enter in a directory with lot of files I get only 2000 entries. In the log I see: "Recv> 226 Output truncated to 2000 matches". How I can get the full list?

    TIA

    Bye, Maurizio.

    Re: ftp output list truncated

What FTP server software is running on the server you are connecting to?

Also, please post BC's log showing the problem FTP connection. To turn on logging, select View|Log|Verbose from the menu if it isn't already on. Right click on the green log pane to copy it the clipboard or write it to a file.

        Re: ftp output list truncated

The truncation is due to a setting on the FTP server. Listing the same folder using the command line FTP client included in Windows also truncates the listing at 2000 files.

The FTP server admin will need to change settings on their FTP server to list more than 2000 files at a time.

This is described in the PureFTPD documentation:
