  • I need a way to use sesion for bc2 from cmd

I need a way so that running Beyound Compare from command line like bc2 a.cpp b.cpp would use the session settings I've updated earlier.
I can't find a way not to type them each time for 10-20 times a day

Are you referring to file comparison rules, as created in Tools|Edit Current Rules?

If so, you can create a new file comparison rule in the Rules section of Tools|Options, or by selecting Tools|Pick Rules|New Rules from the File Viewer menu.

BC will start at the top of the rules list (from the Rules section of Tools|Options) and use the first set of rules with a matching file extension. To force a different set of rules, you can use the /rules= command line option.

No, I'm talking about session manager rules.

You can load a saved session from the command line using:

        bc2.exe "saved session"

There isn't a way to specify folder comparison criteria on the command line when starting an interactive session of BC.

It is possible to change the default folder comparison criteria for all new sessions. To set it, select Session|Set Default from the Folder Viewer menu.
