individually select multiple files for comparison

Is there a way to select several files within Windows Explorer and then do the right-click/"Select Left Side To Compare" and then do the same from another folder? As opposed to comparing all the contents of 2 folders - just compare subsets.
BTW - I use Beyond Compare 2 and love it!

It's only possible to do this with a pair of files. BC can't currently launch a comparison of a subset of files from the shell extension.

The best option right now is to compare the folders, then use a filename filter to limit the comparison.
