  • Time Tolerance

I user a web-site host that converts the date/time on my files to GMT. I live in GMT + 10 hours (a very nice place) so I need to specify a time tolerance of 36,000 seconds in order to compare files on my PC with those on the host server.

Beyond Compare appears to have a limit of 32,737.

How can I specify a tolerance of 10 hours ?

    Regards,

    Steve in Hobart, Tasmania.

    Re: Time Tolerance

    Hi Steve,

have a look at the "Advanced"-tab in the "Comparison Control"-dialog. Just check "Ignore timezone differences" and Your problem should be resolved.

I think the time tolerance is only designed for minor differences.

    Greetings Lutz

    PS:
Inside the session manager the "Advanced"-tab is named "More" and for scripting You have to use "criteria timezone:ignore"!

      Re: Time Tolerance

      Thanks for your help, Lutz.

I am embarrassed to admit that I hadn't noticed the "Advanced/More" tabs. I can now set an 11 hour time-zone adjustment and all is fine.

What a superb product "Beyond Compare" is . I could say it is beyond compare but that would just a too awful pun !

      Thanks again.

      Best regards,

      Steve, Hobart.
