  • I don't wanna be a newbie no more

Hey, how can I change my title from "newbie" to something else, like "honey bee"? My poor pride is taking a beating.

There isn't a way to pick your own title. The title is based on the number of posts you've made. Once you reach 25 posts it will change to "Journeyman".

A list of the titles and number of posts required for each is at:

I updated the forum titles, eliminating newbie, and I also reduced the threshold for some of the titles.

Heh. I quite liked being a newbie... it was a good excuse to ask dumb questions!

This post is from 2005, referencing an old system on old forum software. Our current vBulletin software has a similar title system, but I do not believe we have a public title FAQ.
