    Saving a restoring settings - How?

    My session manager is getting fairly complex and I want to safeguard just that information on my handy dandy USB keychain drive. Is there an easy way to export and import settings and session information? A plain-text readable export would be ideal but anything would do in a pinch.

    I've praised you guys before and I'll do it again.

    Thanks for creating such a profoundly useful, well designed tool! Beyond Compare is the best $30 bucks this company has ever spent IMHO.

    Tony,

    In BC2.1 you can export your Sessions and Rules as an xml file.

    In the menu, pick Tools->Export Settings
    and then select to export everthing, sessions, or rules.

    To import your settings later, just use
    Tools->Import Settings
    and import the .xml file

    If you're running BC 2.0 the settings are stored in the files Session.bcse and Rules.bcru in your Application Data folder.

    If you're running BC 1.9 or older, settings are stored in a file called Beyond32.ini, probably located in your C:\Windows or C:\WinNT folder.
