Compare EDGAR to Word Format

Is it possible to compare an EDGAR format file to a MS Word document in BC2? I am far from knowledgeable when it comes to the advanced features of BC2. I usually just compare similar TXT documents.

Hi jnd121,

I'm not familiar with EDGAR files. If they are a binary file type, you'll need to save them as text. You'll also need to save the MS Word document as plain text. Once you've converted the files to text, you can compare the text in BC2.

My guess is that EDGAR refers to the Securities and Exchange Commission's Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system.
