I've reported this before but as this forum is new and the issue is still unresolved, I'll report it again, with links to the old discussion thread [1], [2], [3], [4].

What I'd like is that when I'm using the Text Compare and change a file then save it, the resulting file's modified date changes to match the moment in time where the file was last modified. This was the behaviour in BC2 and every other text editor I've used on Windows and Linux.
When a file is modified, its modified date should change.
Are other Linux users encountering this problem?
