    464 request: Open Subfolders behavior

I often have delta trees delivered, which represent a portion of a much larger subdirectory tree.

Comparing the smaller delta to the main tree, I would like to be able to expand all the subfolders of the delta, and *only the corresponding/matching dirs in the main tree*, leaving any subfolders in the main tree in a collapsed state.

    For example, given
    delta on left:
    /base
    /base/dir2
    /base/dir3/ABC

    Main on right:
    /base
    /base/dir1
    /base/dir1/many_subfolders
    /base/dir2
    /base/dir3/ABC
    /base/dir3/other_folders

I would like to be able to select the delta's base folder, "open all left subfolders", and have the right expand only dir2 and dir3/ABC, leaving dir1 and dir3/other_folders collapsed on right.

    Thanks for the consideration -

Not too long ago I submitted an enhancement request to only show display the common folder structure on each side of a folder compare. If that gets implemented, it will accomplish what you are asking for.

In the mean time, disable orphans in your display filter, expand all the folders, then re-enable orphans. The folders that were hidden when you expanded the common folder structure will remain collapsed.
