MP3 plugin bug?

Using BC2.5.1 with MP3 plugin 2.1.1

Comment field is not read from ID3v2.3 tags encoded in utf16. Could someone confirm please?

I have not been able to reproduce your exact problem, but I have noticed some character issues with id3v2.3 and 2.4 tags, and have entered them into our bug tracking software.

Do you experience the same issues with id3v2.2 tags?

v2.2 tag is not read at all, instead v1 tag is shown. v2.4 (utf-8) displays comment field as present but the contents are not shown, just a single square character. Only v2.3 tags in iso-8859-1 are shown correctly. I am using Mp3tag to write tags. Confirmed on 2 PCs.

I was using iTunes to alter the tags. I will take a look at this software and play around with it a bit.

Since we are in full development swing for version 3.0, this bug will likely remain until after the 3.0 release. It is in our bug tracker, however, and we will look at it when we can.
